  1. I have a BL 455 and while I was blending it leaked into the base, and I did not notice it. It was just a small amount. The mixture I was blending was semi sweet and after use, I set it out to dry. Overnight it was invaded by ants. They were down in the small push down parts.
My question is can I soak the top part of the unit with just a small amount of hot soapy water to clean in case this happens again? I’m not talking about emersing the entire unit. Thanks
