Simple Stir Fry Sauce

I love to experiment in the kitchen, especially after I’ve been inspired by a fantastic meal in a restaurant or a dish my Mom made. I inherited my passion for food from my mother. She’s notorious for never following a recipe but crafting amazing foods…which ironically I am also known for!

My mom often gets a hankering for Asian cuisine. She has her favorite restaurants in town when she wants to grab lunch, and she has her arsenal of top recipes memorized for a meal at home.

She was describing her homemade stir fry from the evening before. The sauce sounded wonderful and the crisp veggies were exactly what I was craving. I attempted to whip up a batch at my house for dinner that night. And let me tell you, I struck gold!

My husband oooh-ed and ahh-ed over the sauce. He grabbed seconds and packed up a container for his lunch the following day (because he didn’t want to share the leftovers). Little did I know that over the years my stir fry sauce would become so delicious…and perfected. My mom has even asked me for my recipe because my husband won’t stop bragging about it!

I used to whisk the sauce together in a measuring cup. But since I opened my Vitamix Aer container, it has been put to good use, including my stir fry sauce!

What’s even better is how simple it is to whip together a double batch in this container than to whisk it in a bowl. The rotating disc replaces the muscle work and fully incorporates the items together (because I used to get clumpy spots of peanut butter…not that I was complaining).

Serve this tasty sauce over ground turkey, mixed vegetables, and rice or quinoa.
