The Best Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate!

I’m a sucker for anything with peanut butter: homemade Reese’s peanut butter candy, peanut butter ice cream, peanut butter breakfast cookies, peanut butter stir fry sauce, or just straight peanut butter out of the jar. And now I can add peanut butter hot chocolate to that list!

I’ve made hot chocolate in the Aer Disc container before. I added 2 cups of milk, ½ cup of chocolate chips, and a dash of vanilla to the blender and let it run on high for 6 minutes. When I opened the list, I was pleased to discover a frothy mixture that was steaming hot and completely ready to enjoy.

Why have I never thought to add peanut butter to that foolproof recipe? Well, today I did. Just one tablespoon was the perfect amount to add the essential peanut butter flavor without overpowering the frothy goodness of traditional hot chocolate. My goodness, that recipe is a keeper!

P.S. Add a shot of Amaretto or Bailey’s for even more amazing flavors!

If you don’t have a Vitamix Aer Disc container, it’s worth investing in one. It is the easiest and best way to make every drink imaginable, from 2-minute lemonade to a hot chocolate martini. Plus it whips up a mean batch of Caesar dressing and lemon basil spread. Basically, the Aer Disc container froths, whips, emulsifies, muddles, and foams everything to beauty. Did I mention that it’s practically self-cleaning? That’s a win for every chef in the kitchen.
