As just about everyone knows by now, it is so important to make sure you eat breakfast every single day. Unfortunately, now more than ever so many of us are pressed for time in our morning routines that breakfast is often the first thing that gets cut out. Typically, many people don’t eat breakfast because they don’t have the time to prepare it. However, one of the best and easiest ways to eat breakfast and make sure you get your full nutrients is to make a smoothie for breakfast. If you want a fast and easy smoothie that’s going to taste great, this recipe below might be perfect for you.
Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people in the world today that assume if you’re going to have a smoothie, then it has to contain only fruits and maybe some vegetables to make sure you’re getting all of the nutrition from your smoothie. However, it is important to realize that there are so many different ways to make your smoothie different and great tasting and this smoothie with chocolate and raspberry is a great way to prove it.
- 1/2 Cup Frozen Raspberry
- 2 tsp ground flax seed
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup chocolate soy milk
- 1/2 cup milk
- Place all the ingredients in the blender
- Turn on the blender
- Blend until all the ingredients are smooth
- If you have a blender with Preset Settings, like a Vitamix or a Blendtec, use the one called "Smoothie"
- Flaxseed is optional. But I highly recommend it. It gives the smoothie a nice, nutty sweetness that is ever so light and pleasant.
- No need to use cow Milk. Can replace with all Soy Milk
- Soy Milk can be substituted with Almond Milk
While this particular smoothie is going to provide you with all of the benefits and nutrients that you would find from a typical smoothie, I can tell you without a doubt that this is going to taste better than most of the smoothies you have tried. This particular smoothie is going to taste more like a milkshake than anything else, which means not only are you going to enjoy a healthy smoothie, but you’re going to feel like you’ve eaten dessert.
As with most smoothie recipes, part of the fun is doctoring it up and adding your own flair to the recipe! Have fun with it and add in some things that you might like and think will give you a better experience overall.
